NCERT Sarangi Hindi Class 2 Chapter 25 Sabse Bada Chaata is a story of a child’s thoughts and dream where he wishes to create the biggest umbrella.
The chapter shows the experience of a child at the time of monsoon. The child is worried about his bed, his mother’s saree and his grandmother’s blanket getting wet due to rain. However, he is happy as he had an umbrella. He calls his friend Salim under an umbrella and now both are dry and warm.
Further, the child and Salim along with other children come under the umbrella. As more children arrive, the umbrella becomes smaller and smaller. At last, the child asks Dayal Chachu for a very big umbrella, but Chachu says that no bigger umbrella is available than this.
At the end of the story, the child dreams of building the world’s largest umbrella when he is grown-up. He wants his umbrella to be so big that it can cover the entire city from the rain.
